A farmer assisted in a search and rescue callout after a woman suffered an injury near Llangollen.
North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) attended to the patient yesterday afternoon (Thursday, December 29) after they were asked to assist a woman with a lower leg injury by North Wales Police.
The patient was on the top of the Panorama near Llangollen when a local farmer helped aid the callout by driving the patient down the mountain to NEWSAR.
In a series of Tweets, NEWSAR said: “@NWPolice asked us to assist a woman with a lower leg injury on the top of the Panorama above Llangollen. Her companion provided some pain relief, a bandage for support and then they both got into an emergency shelter to keep themselves warm.
“As we were on the way, a local farmer became aware of the incident and was able to drive the casualty down in his vehicle. We then provided additional pain relief and splinting, before she went to hospital with family members.
“Get well soon!”
