A REGIONAL food and drink group will once again be attending The Denbigh and Flint Show to showcase the superb food and drink producers of the area.
Situated on The Green, Denbigh, the annual show is a traditional rural event, which promotes farming, agriculture, and country living.
Established in 2012, The Clwydian Range Food and Drink Group is made up of a vibrant community of talented food producers, retailers, and hospitality providers working within the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
12 members from the group will each have a stand at the Show, but will be exhibiting collectively, bringing together the incredible range of exciting, innovative, and award-winning produce available in the area.
These are:
- Chilly Cow Ice Cream
- Hafod Brewing Company, Mold
- The Little Cheesemonger
- K&G Chocolates & Truffles
- Cariad Gin
- Afonwen Craft Centre
- Shlizzy
- Mountain Produce

Acting as the main organiser for the CRFDG, Gail Swan, co-owner of Swans Farm Shop in Treuddyn, who were awarded Best Stand at the 2022 Show, said: “This year we will also be running a ‘Support Local’ Competition, with 2 great prizes: pumpkin picking at Mostyn Kitchen Gardens, and at Swans Farm Shop.” Swans will also be running a live cookery demo on the food stage.
"Flintshire Tourism Association and the Clwydian Range Food and Drink Group are striving together to encourage our partners in the hospitality, retail, accommodation, and tourism industries, to forge strong relationships with our food producers.
"We believe that by working together, we can build a stellar reputation for high quality local food and produce that will leave a lasting impression on everyone who visits our local area.
This year’s Denbigh and Flint Show will be held on Thursday, August 17, and as usual, there will be an exciting line-up of events for everyone to enjoy, including a Shetland Pony Grand National, and an appearance by the incredible Stannage Stunt Team.
The day will also feature attractions such as livestock exhibits, vintage tractor displays, a dog show, live music, hundreds of trade stands, and much more besides. Tickets are available through the Show’s website, by visiting the Show Office at 1 Cross Street, Holywell CH8 7LP, or at the gate.
