KUHN Farm Machinery has expanded its range of folding power harrows with two new 6m models and a 5m unit aimed at operators looking to increase outputs and make transitioning between fields quicker.
For the first time, KUHN’s HR 1030 R range features folding machines, with the HR 5030 R and HR 6030 R becoming the new flagship models in the range and suitable for tractors up to 350hp.
They join the existing rigid models from 3m-4.5m. The single beam design on the HR 1030 R machines allows easy access to the gearbox and transmissions for maintenance, while rear lift requirements are lower thanks to a close coupling design. Existing options featured on the new models include working depth and levelling bar adjustment in manual or hydraulic format.
A 6m HR 6042 R model suitable for tractors up to 460hp joins the larger 7m and 8m models in KUHN’s high output folding power harrow range.
The HR 6042 R comes with an oil cooler to protect the reinforced central gearbox from overheating during long days. Two side DUPLEX gearboxes make it possible for the operator to adjust rotor speed to suit ground conditions.
As standard, the new trio of power harrows come with DURAKUHN tines as standard, with the option of DURAKARB, featuring tungsten carbide inserts to increase longevity.
KUHN’s FAST-FIT tine fitting system is standard and reduces the time spent changing metal. A choice of three rollers is available on the new models. KUHN’s 520mm MAXICRUMBLER; the 535mm MAXIPACKER; or the largest 590mm MEGAPACKER offer users a variety of options depending on the required finish. Track eradicators to loosen soil behind the wheels are also available.
The HR 5030 R starts at £47,440, while the HR 6042 R is £56,375.
