A TOTAL of 10 Bluefaced Leicester sheep were stolen from Denbigh.
North Wales Police Rural Crime Team took to social media on May 7 to say: "Overnight on May 4/5, 10 Bluefaced Leicester ewes were stolen from a location in the Green, Denbigh. Farmers are asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity or vehicles to the police."
The Bluefaced Leicester is a breed of sheep, just like the Merino. They are classed as the finest sheep wools in the world. The Bluefaced Leicester is described as a 'lustre' breed so the fleece has a sheen to it.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101. Quote reference: Q063121
