NFU CYMRU has once again shown its support to Montgomery YFC through sponsoring its calendar of competitions for the forthcoming year.
On presenting the £200 cheque to the federation at their recent AGM in Four Crosses, Jonathan Wilkinson, Montgomeryshire NFU Cymru county chairman explained why helping young farmers is so important to NFU Cymru.
“The activities of the YFC are essential to rural life and the farming industry in Wales and NFU Cymru is delighted to be able to sponsor the county’s competitions calendar,” he said.
“NFU Cymru has always been proactive in showing its support for young farmers in Wales and long may it continue.”
On accepting the cheque Beth Watkins, Montgomery YFC county chairman said: “Our partnership with NFU Cymru is invaluable in allowing our members the opportunity to participate in competitions that contribute to their ongoing personal development. The sponsorship has meant that many young farmers will have the opportunity to take part in many of our competitions held over the forthcoming year, so on behalf of our members I would like to thank NFU Cymru for their generous donation.”
